In order to earn points towards end of series championships, you must be a member and race a minimum of four races during the series.  Non-members are welcome to race and qualify for race day awards.

Who are we! 

The California Vintage Motocross Club is a motocross club that organizes and conducts racing events.  CALVMX caters to competition motorcycles manufactured between 1965 up to and including machines currently in production.

All of our classes are broken down by novice, intermediate and expert levels.

VINTAGE Classes (VMX)

PREMIER---ANY bike built before 1968  (no separate displacement classes)

CLASSIC
Classic  100---Any 100cc bike built before 1972
Classic  125---Any 125cc bike built before 1972
Classic 250---Any 250cc bike built before 1972
Classic 500---Any 500cc bike built before 1972

VINTAGE
Vintage Sportsman  100---Any 100cc bike built before 1975
Vintage Sportsman  125---Any 125cc bike built before 1975
Vintage Sportsman  250---Any 250cc bike built before 1975
Vintage Sportsman  500---Any 500cc bike built before 1975
NOTE:
 Some stock 1975 bikes with 4” of rear wheel travel upon approval.

Open Age---ANY age on a vintage or classic bike
+50---at least 50 years old on any vintage or classic bike
+60---at least 60 years old on any vintage or classic bike

GP1 125---ANY 125cc  bike built before 1981
GP1 250---ANY 250cc  bike built before 1981

GP2 125---ANY 125cc  bike built before 1986
GP2 250---ANY 250cc  bike built before 1986
GP2 500---ANY 500cc  bike built before 1986

GP3 125---ANY 125cc  bike built before 1996
GP3 250---ANY 250cc  bike built before 1996
GP3 500---ANY 500cc  bike built before 1996

Open Age-ANY age on any GP bike

GP85---ANY 2 OR 4 stroke bike up to 85cc

NOTE:
  Stock XR class is permitted safety upgrades such as stiffer forks, wider foot pegs, aftermarket handlebars and exhaust.

SIDECAR---ANY Sidecar

WOMEN---ANY bike

IRONMAN
Any man or woman on any bike – the Ironman class consists of one 25 minute moto at the beginning of moto one.  Riders must finish the race on one bike and complete at least 50% of the laps to qualify for points.  This class runs all year, January through December and tie breakers go to the oldest bike.
